A leader in tough trucks and powerful muscle cars, Ford was completely absent in a quickly-growing and increasingly-popular category: the mini SUV. In January of 2018 Ford changed that, introducing the Ford EcoSport, their first-ever subcompact sport utility vehicle. But the EcoSport faced two unique challenges: it was late to the game – entering an already crowded market – and the mini SUV buyer – young, diverse, culturally-connected, coastal city-dwelling women – is an audience Ford has struggled to reach. This highly social, experience-driven audience lead incredibly busy lives, yet are always striving to improve themselves.
In partnership with top life hack influencers, Ford EcoSport invited guests to The Life Hack Academy, an event in a bustling Manhattan neighborhood. At The Life Hack Academy, guests explored a variety of immersive vignettes, each of which was hosted by a different expert who shared tips and tricks for everything from meal prep to travel, and positioned the EcoSport as the vehicle that enables you to get the most out of life.
